I see that I have been away for quite some time now, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to help that.
The reason for this is because I’ve been away in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada all this time. I no longer live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada anymore and the reason for me being in Cold Lake is because (make a long story short) me and my mom haven’t been getting along for the past couple of years and she finally kicked me out and I moved in with my aunt and uncle here until about the 20th of August. I’ve been here since about May 16th or so.
I’ll be moving to Richmond, BC (BC stands for British Columbia…a province in Canada for you people who don’t know) and in with a friend of mine who I was supposed to move in with back on April 9th but issues with the manager came up of that place so everything got screwed up.
As for gaming lately, I haven’t been able to do as much as I want because my aunt and uncle who I live with now wouldn’t let me bring any of my games except for one handheld. Yeah - no consoles, not my laptop, and I have to go to a net cafe because they won’t let me go on their computer because they think I’ll just go on it all day and they also want me to “concentrate more on work and saving”.
I’ve still been buying games a lot for my DS Lite (which they let me bring) and I just can’t wait till I move…I want to play my 360.
Oh and lastly, I’m working full time at Wal-Mart in the electronics section. It’s going good.
But yeah, just wanted to update everyone if anyone’s still checking in here occasionally.
So I joined a 360 forum a couple of weeks ago and a bunch of people are already throwing lines at me, but the cool thing is even though I’m new, one of the higher up mods over there are already liking me for my no bull**** nature) and how I’m still helping others etc etc.
And with the 360, a lot of people are saying (not just on the forum, but in general) that gamerpoints mean nothing.
Yes I know that, they’re just something extra. I’m a gamer in both fields (now), competitive and non competitive, but since the move is “causing” (I don’t know a better word / line) to play my 360 more, it’s turned me into a more competitive gamer, thus I’ve started to focus on the 360 and the gamer points.
It’s like, I would have never purchased Viva Pinata: Party Animals or Rockstar Table Tennis, or even today I picked up Assassins Creed which I swore originally I was going to get for the Playstation 3. I found it brand new sealed at a cheaper no-name type store for about $25.
Yeah okay, I admit, my gamer score isn’t pretty or comparable to a lot of people’s out there, but once I get out there, get settled, get the few bills I have to pay off, but once I get settled, it’ll be eating, sleeping, gaming, or working, and sometimes going out - groceries.
Browsing through Gamespot, I noticed a page from a short while back mentioning that Shigeru Miyamoto has been awarded #1 in the “Your Time 100″ as most influential artist / entrepreneur / leaders / etc.
So for those of you who don’t know who he is, well, he created Donkey Kong, Wii, and the DS. So I can understand the last two parts. But why a video game giant? Well, with the Wii, you’ve got this wireless controller, and (most likely and eventually half-dozen to a dozen, if not even more later on) things to play games on it - such as the nunchuk, whatever they call the new wheel with Mario Kart Wii (I dunno…the Wiil? Alright I tried with that one…and failed - I have no idea what it’s called if it has a special name), as well as the Wii Sports stuff (racket, etc).
But you look further on in the list for video game names, and you’ve got Bill Gates at number 25 as well as Steve Ballmer was mentioned but was listed at 102.
But off the top of gaming giants, how in the world did Britney Spears was listed at 72 - and even Bush was mentioned, but thankfully didn’t make the list. And here’s something scary - Oprah didn’t make the list, and beat George Bush only by 8 (Oprah was listed at 150).
Hell I’m suprised Mario didn’t make the list haha.
See the list for yourself. Time.com - Your Time 100
So throughout the gaming age there are dozens - if not hundreds of games out there that are incomplete. And by incomplete I mean they weren’t fully developed to 100% (or so we think - maybe they left errors in on purpose?)
But you look at games like Big Rigs for the PC, or just little glitches like in Joust (going too high and getting stuck), or in one of the Hot Wheels: Beat That maps in the bedroom there’s a small area under a ramp that if you don’t go off the ramp far enough, you’ll pretty much fall through the floor. Of course, this one being an accident I would hope. But mentioning Big Rigs? See this video here, Gamespot’s Alex Navarro reviews Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Well on Gamespot that’s the lowest rated game they’ve ever given.
But I know I wouldn’t cover 360 content anymore, but as of how I mentioned Joust - which is also an XBox 360 Live Arcade game, it has an achievement where you have to get to wave 100. And the little icon beside it? It rates it as an unachievable glitch.

So I’m checking out one of the forums I go to, and apparantly there’s these pills that they make in Japan that enhance gameplay performance - or basically are like Redbulls / other energy drinks but increase your concentration.
Alright, so this means if I want to play Call of Duty 4 for 36 hours straight and take these then I’ll apparently stay fully at ease and able to play as if Iwas fully awake and of the sort?

As one of the comments mentions, watch now - performance enhancing drug testing will be in effect and / or the 24+ hour MMORPG deaths will be more occurring.
I’ve decided to get another blog via blogging4life dedicated to the 360 as this one would have had nothing but 360 content for the next who-knows-how-long.
As for the link: 360 Universe
I still plan on working with this one, and it will have original content as it originally had - being on my other games and other news and what-naught so hopefully for the ones who do visit here, please keep visiting - but now both blogs. ^_^
Well over the past while I’ve purchased a few games and I also have a higher score as well (1650 now).
As for the games I purchased: Madden 2006, Army of Two (I may have mentioned that one already), and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
As for the reason why I chose to buy such an old football game is because I purchased a magazine called the XBox 360 handbook that had an article to get 11000 gamerscore points within 30 hours and you can get 1000 just from Madden ‘06 alone.
I’ve also beaten Army of Two on the easy difficulty, and I’m 2/3 of the way through the medium difficulty as well. I’m crusing through Hot Wheels: Beat That too. The Bowling Alley in Hot Wheels is a real pain because of all the colors and turns and whatnaught - and unlocking Nitro mode added 45 points too, which was nice.
Other than that, right now I’m still working on the same games - Army of Two and Hot Wheels. That’s pretty much it.
So lately I’ve pretty much been playing this game as I’ve really enjoyed the Hot Wheels games dating back to the Hot Wheels Turbo Racing for the Playstation way back when.
I was originally playing Gears of War on Casual, but I started over because I found out that if you play on a higher difficulty level and get an achievement, you’ll also get it on casual (or if you’re on insane (if you have it unlocked), you’ll also get it for hardcore as well). So I started over and I’m currently on Act 1, and I’m pretty much stuck. I’m not the greatest for shooters, I never have been either.
But back to the subject of the Hot Wheels: Beat That, I’ve been pulling off the achievements, whether it be by drifting during a race for the 25 000 points (Wild Animal Achievement; even though of course you’ll lose the race because it takes FOREVER seemingly, and you’ll get lapped unless you can pull off and find an area where you can pull off 360’s drifts - which I found so that was nice), so I was able to get the Wild Animal! and Stunt Master achievement (Wild Animal is 25 000 points and Stunt Master is 20 000 points - adding to 40 achievement points…so currently I have 210 points…sigh. Slowly I’m catching up Steve and Gordon…slowly…(they’re at around 600 or so) and they’re playing Rainbow 6 Vegas 1…and later 2 I think. I’ve got on my custom gamer card currently Gears, Hot Wheels: Beat That, Lost Odyssey, Bomberman: Act Zero, and Forza 2. The last two games I probably won’t get any achievements for as I’m horrible at racing games and the difficulty rating on Bomberman: Act Zero for achievements is 9 / 10 (10 being difficult). So before I go to Vancouver, I’m probably going to pick up Call of Duty 4 or some other game - possibly Oblivion maybe. Take me forever probably - I can barely survive Morrowind (patience - wise)
Aight so many of you know I’m moving to Vancouver soon - hopefully within the next week or two.
As for plans on taking things with me? Well it was originally going to be taking my Playstation 2, Wii, and 360 and XBox with all the games with them. Now I’m just bringing my XBox 360 and the games for the 360 and XBox games.
Why?
Well, when I’m over there, when we’re not working, we’ll either be sleeping, eating, or playing. And when we’re playing, it’ll be on the 360. And when we’ll be playing on the 360, it’ll be pretty much for achievement points now, which has been pretty much decided now.
So what am I working on now? Getting some achievement points with the games that I do have.
As for the games I’m working on? Gears of War and Hot Wheels: Beat That!
I was originally playing Gears of War on Casual but I started over and started it up on Hardcore and it’s a real ***** for me as I’m not that great for shooters, but I’m doing alright with Hot Wheels (heh…) As for my score, well, it’s a measly 130 right now - then again I just started pretty much yesterday (and I’m working too from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM and I wake up at 12 PM and take off at 2 PM…gimme a break…so a lot of online will be done - that’s for sure.
As for what’s unreal? Well, Final Fantasy XI’s achievements. Level 75 in each class for only 30 points? Give. Me. A. Break. That’s a hell of a lot of playing - and I wanted to originally play that for the Playstation 2. Damn.
So now I’ll be posting updates pretty much on what’s going on here.
So I finally am playing a game, recording it on my blog, and I’m also finally playing my Wii.
So I picked up Super Mario Galaxy a few days ago and I felt like it was going to sit for quite a while - and it actually did. For about half a week untouched. With the fact of how my work is screwing up my sleep pattern and so on so forth, I really don’t know how I’ll be able to play at comfortable hours and at a regular pace - meaning not just three hours here, two hours there, and five hours here.
So Super Mario Galaxy is basically this game where this giant comet flies by the Mushroom Kingdom, and one time this giant comet filled the entire night sky and all the giant toads collected star bits where they were reborn into power stars.
So Mario then receives a letter from Toadstool saying she has something for him, so he hurries to the castle meanwhile all the toads are catching star bits as the festival is geting started.
So just as Mario is about to get to the castle, his best friend Bowser shows up and does the usual.
And anyways, this game is much different than your regular Mario game because you’re on these planets, and instead of the planets being flat all the time, you can end up walking upside down and so on so forth - so it’s really tripped out. There was this one “bonus” (I guess you can say) room that I ran into where you could run up this ramp, up the wall and around this wall, but not to the next wall unless you get to the next ramp - but that was only this “bonus room”.
There’s even black holes that you can fall into, and thus you lose a life too, which the fact that the game is messed up enough doesn’t help.
So this is just an introduction to the game thus far.
